Embracing the Crescent


Devoid of resolve, neither love nor patriotism nor a mission can be fructified,
As the venture howsoever cumbersome, succeeds if the resolve is fortified.

Firm determination is far from a self-centred  breed ,
Who, other than one’s voracious hunger ,has no creed .

Nor such a person can understand the esteem and veracity of commitment,
One’s rooted selfishness makes one, quit the full Moon, embracing the crescent.

The itinerary of love never reaches its destination, if the resolve is not firm,
For attractions and allurements oft interrupt and vacillate the choice firm.

Loving one’s nation and proving patriotism on all fronts, even at the cost of life,
Is possible only with firm resolve, unmindful of a zig- zag graph of strife.

No mission of any visionary or missionary could be accomplished without firm determination,
As multiplied endeavours emerge from the synergy of static eagle eye and rocky resolution.
